Designs and directs engineering and technical personnel in fabrication of testing and test-control apparatus and equipment. Positions covered by this definition are characterized by the inclusion of work that requires an understanding of both theories and principles. Coordinates and directs engineering activities concerned with the development, procurement installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test, telemeter, record, and reduce test data. Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations. Directs and exercises control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests. Confers with scientific, engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing problems, such as product or systems malfunctions, incomplete test data, and data interpretations considering such factors as conditions under which test was conducted and instrumentation, procedures, and phase of test used to obtain and record data. Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by engineering and management personnel.
Duties & responsibilities:
The individual will develop and implement Configuration Management Process and procedures and document within a Configuration Management Plan. The individual will baseline identification, systematic change control, status accounting, and auditing of each release configuration.
The individual will be the Program Management Office (PMO) advisor for the following:
The individual will maintain documented requirements traceability for each release to include documentation of derived requirements identified during the development cycle and recorded in the expanded Product Backlog. The individual will establish methods for tracking, resolving, closing, and reporting deficiencies, and requirements by originator. The individual will provide real-time Government read and query access to requirements/deficiency data. The individual will monitor discrepancy reports, provide performance improvement recommendations, identify environmental changes and changes in equipment or regulations, and shall implement approved changes as directed by the PMO. The individual will maintain configuration control of all interfaces between the system and external systems/services.
The individual will use automated agile tools to track changes to configured items and baselines. The contractor shall provide the Government view access to all CM and defect tracking tools. The contractor shall ensure that the Government has access to the most current versions of all system artifacts within the Government workspaces
