Duties & responsibilities:
The Oracle Senior System Administrators will resolve issues to ensure the system is functioning accordingly, and monitor database and application performance while implementing corrective actions to resolve performance issues should they arise. The Oracle Senior System Administrators will also perform environments builds, upgrades, patching, cloning, maintenance, system monitoring, performance tuning, load balancing and capacity planning. Additional support includes executing disaster recovery/high availability activities, backups, restores, flashbacks, and tracking and monitoring the production and test environments, including issue resolution. The Oracle Senior System Administrators will coordinate activities with Development, Architecture, Configuration/Release Management, Information Assurance, GCSS-AF and DISA. Also, they will maintain and update Oracle Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance Manager (GRC), User Productivity Kit (UPK), and Oracle User Management (UMX) documentation and configuration and monitor the health and performance of the Oracle Databases & associated Databases to ensure optimal performance while meeting security requirements
Candidate will be comfortable with complex schema designs and creating multiple instances of Oracle databases in different operating system platforms like Solaris, Red Hat Linux and Windows Servers. Will be familiar with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) across a set of clustered servers to provide the highest levels of performance, scalability, and availability possible for the Oracle eBS and supporting products. Will work with a technical team that will support the design of DEAMS infrastructure to use GRID Control at both the database and application tier allowing for automated data collection and metrics on performance for every product and service. Will work with other staff to manage more than 30 instances of Oracle databases in CIE
Bachelor degree and two years’ experience. Risk Management Experience a plus.
