DDC-ITS is 100% owned by the Navajo Nation and has been in business since 2011. Responsibilities

DDC IT Services is actively seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to perform the following responsibilities:

 

 

  • Provide system administration technical support for the Windows server systems in a multi-platform environment.
  • Provide technical support of the following Windows operating environments: system ad- ministration, performance tuning, Veritas backup solutions, raid implementation using fiber channel storage mediums and support of Storage Area Networks (SAN).
  • Provide technical support in setup and administration of enterprise scale Windows net- works.
  • Provide technical support with optimizing 32 bit and 64 bit applications.
  • Provide technical support in using these Windows domain tools: Active Directory Users and Computers, Active Directory Services, Server Manager, Domain Group Policy Management, Domain Name System (DNS) Server, and Domain Replication. Provide system administration support with these Microsoft Server technologies: Structured Query Language (SQL) server, Internet Information Services (IIS), Application Server, File Ser- vices, Windows clustering, Windows Server Update Services and support of these thin client technologies: Windows Remote Desktop or Citrix XenApp.
  • Implement DoD system security requirements, C2 security implementation and Windows Security Implementation Security Guide (STIG) requirements.
  • Provide technical support in project management work with defense information systems, project time lines, budgets, and Government reporting.
  • Provide technical support of networking infrastructure principles and practices.
  • Provide technical support with the following Web technologies: Tomcat, apache web server or Microsoft IIS.
  • Provide technical support with the following hardware architectures: X86 and X64. Provide support with troubleshooting hardware failures and systems incompatibilities on these platforms. Provide support with Hewlett Packard (HP), Dell and other vendor X86/X64 server platforms and storage systems.
  • Provide technical support with analysis creation and implementation of security policies and the use of Microsoft Security Configuration and Analysis, group policy and the effect of security through the use of group policies. Provide support with using National Security Agency (NSA) guidelines to secure the Windows environment.
  • Provide technical support with established Government systems, policies and procedures and Government workflow processes, with system administration on a cross platform network.  
  • Provide guidance to the utilization of the Windows Operating System (OS) in the architecture of the DECC Ogden systems.
  • Provide technical support on all Windows applications, system analyst support and application installation, and configuration.
  • Perform these technical functions: build new servers, migration of applications from development to production, troubleshooting and diagnostics of applications, system and vendor software monitoring and tuning client, web applications, software and hardware upgrades installations and maintenance. Use provided tools, BMC BladeLogic, McAfee Policy Orchestrator, Windows Update and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), to update, patch, manage, and maintain Server OS and all associated software.
  • Monitor products within the environment using such system monitors as Windows Event logs and Report. Web log files. Report any irregularities via a change management document to the COR.
  • Provide technical support for application generated SQL.
  • Provide project management and technical consulting services to the DECC Ogden customer on questions and issues relating to the software maintained on the DECC Ogden systems for applications.
  • Provide consulting and technical advice and problem resolution for development of application programs and system interfaces.
  • Perform trend analysis on system performance, recommend configuration changes to the COR, and participate in the planning activities to schedule system upgrades.
  • Continuously document and share system information with fellow associates as configuration, program or technical changes are made or occur. Provide hands-on, informal training and knowledge transfer to fellow associates each week.
  • Contractor shall issue surveys to the customer within 3 business days of resolving their open ticket. Survey shall request whether the customer was not satisfied, satisfied, more than satisfied, or very satisfied.

Qualifications

Active Secret/IT-1 clearance.

3 years of experience.

Education Requirements

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent training required.
Security+ CE required.
